Eteck is sustainable

Eteck supplies heat, cooling and – as the case may be – warm tap water on a local scale. Whenever possible, we make use of ‘ambient heat’. We develop our energy systems, using warmth generated by surface water, residual heat generated by industries and shops, and solar heat (energy roofs), etc. As the generation and the emission of heat usually do not take place simultaneously, we use cold heat storage (STES; Seasonal Thermal Energy Systems) to synchronise supply and demand.

This is why
Eteck is sustainable!

When the options for making use of ambient heat are limited, we investigate the possibility of (also) using, for instance, biomass (wood pellets), or cogeneration.
If there is no other option, or if it is expressly requested, we use boilers to generate heat. Incidentally, all the gas we use is so-called ‘forest-compensated gas’, meaning that you are still guaranteed the lowest possible emission of CO2. All the electricity we use for our energy systems is 100%-generated by green sources.
